Dear Parents of Trivium East Scholars,
We have had a wonderful start to our year in music. We've experienced music through singing, movement, and instruments, worked on music literacy, learned about our composers of the month (who have been Antonio Vivaldi and Hildegard von Bingen), worked on learning our concert songs, and attended a wonderful concert by the Phoenix Symphony string ensemble. In this post I'd like to fill you in about our Winter Concerts and also invite you to attend an optional conference with me during our conference days. Each school year at Trivium East, we have a Winter Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. These concerts are well supported by our families as well as by our staff. Concert attendance and participation is a required event for scholars, and accounts for 20% of each scholar's grade in music. If you believe you may have an excusable reason for non attendance, please send me an email so that I may work with our headmaster in deciding whether it will count as excused. Excused absences may be made up through alternate assignments. Our concerts do have a dress code. Please look in your family hand book or on my concert dress code tab on my blog for details so that you are prepared with attire for your scholars.
